Wong Family Benevolent Association celebrates Parents’ Day and Dragon Boat Festival
The Wong Family Benevolent Association celebrates the
"Parents' Day" and the "Dragon Boat Festival" activities at
noon on June 13th at the Association assembly hall. The Association members
laid flowers and sacrificial fruits on the altar table, and worship Guanyin
Bodhisattva first and followed with the ancestor worship ceremony. Ms. Xie
Baozhong from the Women’s Ministry led Association members to sing the Wong’s ancestral
precepts. President Huang Juhua welcomed Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in
Los Angeles Director General Huang Minjing and colleagues for the visit and expressed
gratitude to the guests and family member participation.
Huang Minjing paid respects to the Association members in
Cantonese and said that he was much honored to be invited to participate in the
Wong Family Benevolent Association’s Parents’ Day and Dragon Boat Festival
activities. As a member himself, he was very happy gathering with everyone. After
arrival to the US last year, he made a special trip to visit the Wong Family Benevolent
Association and paid respect to the ancestors. One year had passed due to the
Coronavirus; he was very pleased to see that the elders were still present at
the event and hoped that everyone in good health with the pandemic slowing
down.
Cultural Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los
Angeles Director Chang Haochun and Deputy Director Cheng HsinJu also attended
the event and were pleased to see all the elders and Association members present.
They wished success to the event and good health to everyone.

Association Vice President Huang Xinzhou, Los Angeles Wong Family Benevolent
