Inaugurated four chiefs to carry on the CCBA legacy

Inauguration ceremony dinner for the four chiefs as well as Board of Director/Supervisor staff members was held on January 1st 2025
The inauguration ceremony was held at 4 p.m. at CCBA assembly hall, with lion dance (4 lions) from Lung Kung Tin Yee Association. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ed Chau, U.S. Congresswoman Judy Chu, and Taipei Economics and Cultural Office in Los Angeles Director General Amino Chi presided the inauguration ceremony for the four chiefs, Board of Directors staff members and Board of Supervisor staff members.
Judy Chu and California Assembly member Mike Fong presided the handover of the seals for the incoming and outgoing Presidents and the incoming and outgoing Supervisor chairman/Vice Chairman respectively. Hundreds of representatives from traditional Overseas Chinese communities as well as Chinese elected officials from Monterey Park and San Gabriel attended the event.
2025 CCBA four chiefs are: President Norman Nie, Vice President Lester Gee, Supervisor Chairwoman Kathleen Cheung and Supervisor Vice Chairman Kin Wai Ng. Under the jurisdiction of CCBA, Mei Lau is elected as President and David Lui as Vice President for the Chinese Confucius Temple, Philip Wong as the Chairman and Marcus Lau as the Vice Chairman for the Chinese Cemetery and Teresa Lin as the Chairwoman and William Tam as the deputy Chairman for the Welfare Committee.
Speeches were made by the outgoing President Ernest Lee, incoming President Norman Nie, outgoing Supervisor Chairman Hu Zhuoqiu and incoming Supervisor Chairwoman Kathleen Cheung. Both Ernest Lee and C, K. Wu thanked all the directors and supervisors and their 27 Associations for their strong support in the past two years, and looked forward to the new board of directors and supervisors to continue to lead the CCBA.
Norman Nie and Kathleen Cheung both thanked all members for their trust and support, and expressed their honor to lead the CCBA. Norman Nie will work together with all the directors, supervisors and staff members to adapt future changes of the traditional overseas Chinese community and continue to play the leading role for the Overseas Chinese community.
2025 CCBA Board of Directors staff members are: Chinese Secretary: Stanlar Wong, Mark Lin(deputy); English Secretary: Daisy Ma, Gary Kwan (deputy); Treasurer: David Zhou, Kelvin Huang (deputy); Auditor: Tak Seng Yeung, Rebecca Chiu (deputy). The Board of Supervisors staff members are: Chinese Secretary: Lee Ying Ying, Liang Zhuorong (deputy); English Secretary: Seu Hwa Cheung, Kevin Yang (deputy); Auditor: Mimi Chao, Jason Chen (deputy).
Inaugural celebration dinner on New Year Day held at Chinatown’s Golden Dragon Restaurant was bustling with excitement. Taipei Economics and Cultural Office in Los Angeles Director General Amino Chi congratulated the new CCBA Directors and Supervisors. Pan American Chinese Friendship Association Chief Executive Michael Cheung, CCBA senior advisor Derek Ma, and leaders of the US General Chamber of Commerce for Entrepreneurs of Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong, Southern California Chinese Universities Alumni Association, California Taiwan Fellowship Association, and American Vietnamese-Cambodian-Liao Chinese Association extended their congratulations.
