CCBA Declared Basic Congratulatory Telegram Ceremony

On the evening of January 1, 2022, Taipei Economics and Cultural Office in Los Angeles Director General Louis Huang and his staff members collectively withdrew from the CCBA Four Chiefs inauguration dinner banquet.  CCBA issued the following statements:

1.     CCBA originally planned to accept the request of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles to issue a joint statement, reiterating that in the future, the two sides will strengthen communication, cooperation, and continue to maintain friendly relations. CCBA expressed its regrets as it was again learned that the bylaws amendments during the draft period had been published by the media.

2.     CCBA respects and understands the status of officials stationed abroad, but reading out congratulatory messages from all parties is also a basic etiquette agreed upon by the international community. Also on the same day, some of the congratulatory messages have been moved to the dinner banquet. Efforts have been made to maintain the friendship between CCBA and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles.

3.     CCBA acts lawfully in accordance with the norms of associations within United States. It complies with the regulations of the United States non-profit organization and supports Taiwan founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen without any political involvement.

4.     The purpose of CCBA is to serve the overseas Chinese community, strive for overseas Chinese and promote the culture knowledge, so that overseas Chinese descendants can understand Chinese culture.
