2021 New Year Day CCBA Inauguration ceremony via on-line zoom video

The 2021 CCBA Officials Inauguration Video Ceremony was held on the afternoon of January 1st. Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles Director Huang Minjing delivered a pre-recorded speech and forwarded Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission Chairman Tong Zhenyuan's congratulatory letter to President Mei Wah Lau, Vice President Ernest Lee; Supervisor Chairman Andrew Kwong, and Supervisor Vice Chairwoman of Cai Huiling, expressing congratulations and encouragement for their re-appointment.

The re-elected four CCBA Officials was inaugurated by Congresswoman Judy Chu, while the chairman/vice chairman of the three committees including the Chinese Cemetery of Los Angeles Committee, Welfare Committee and Chinese Confucius Temple of Los Angeles Committee were inaugurated by California State Assemblyman Zhou Benli.

Mei Wah Lau said in a speech that in 2021, CCBA will enter 131 years, after two world wars and the Great Depression in the United States. Last year, under the impact of the pandemic, contributions received from the overseas Chinese association, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles, Chinatown Service Center and other units jointly provide community care to help everyone through the pandemic. She thanked everyone for their selfless dedication. Today was a good day, the first day of the Republic of China’s 110th year. She wished everyone good health, and good luck to the Republic of China. She hoped that members will continue to abide by the traditions of CCBA, safeguard democracy and freedom, and always support the Republic of China. Andrew Kwong asked everyone to pay attention to health and life, keep their mind and body happy, and meet the challenges after the 2021 pandemic.

The backstage emcee of the video ceremony of the event was led by Liu Huanjun and Wilson Kwong. The emcee of the inauguration agenda was Luu Liang Lanfang and Yang Decheng. The drawing event was hosted by Wilson Kwong and He Peiyi. The whole event was smooth and successful.
