The Federation of Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce in America donated 70,000 masks

Federation of Taiwan Chambers of Commerce in North America honorary president Yang Xin was born in Changhua and has been doing business in the United States for nearly 40 years. He called for North America Taiwanese merchants for donation during this pandemic crisis, and purchased millions and millions of masks from Taiwan to help fight the pandemic.

On behalf of the Federation of Taiwan Chambers of Commerce in North America, Yang Xin, political adviser to the Executive Yuan, donated 70,000 masks to CCBA which has provided a long-term support for the traditional overseas Chinese association in Taiwan.

Yang Xin has been in business in the United States for nearly 40 years and is currently the chairman of the furniture brand Seville Classics. In June of this year, as the Honorary President, he called on Taiwanese businesses in North America to raise funds and purchase nearly 10 million Taiwanese masks to help the United States and Canada.

Yang Xin first donated US$500,000 (NT$14.26 million), and the North American Federation of Taiwan Chambers of Commerce raised another US$1.2 million (NT$35.65 million) to launch "10 million masks, 10 million hearts", with cooperation of Taiwan embassy in the US, delivered masks to the fire brigade, police station, hospital, nursing home and other institutions.
